Welcome!

By anneheadley

Happy New Year to you.

New Year’s is a time to take a deep breath and move forward. Ready or not, here it comes.

My new blog debuts on January 1, 2008. It will focus on various aspects of career planning and success. As a career counselor, I intend to draw on my experience in career strategies, retirement planning, careers for artistic people, people in job distress who need to stay put for now, new use of old tools (such as assessment), interesting and weird interview stories, dos and don’ts for resumes, and whatever else comes up.

I hope you will become a reader of my blog. Just as importantly, I hope you will occasionally add comments. Let me know if am writing things of interest to you, feel free to share job reality as you have experienced it, and send me suggestions for new topics. I will be delighted to read all your comments and take them seriously.

I hope all is well with you – and I would love to hear from you. You are welcome at my website, www.anneheadley.com.

And, as always, I can be reached at 301-779-1917.

Well, it’s about time someone did this. I hope you’ll write about part-time work for retired folks. Many of us need a part-time job to help us out financially. Thanks

Anne, I can testify to your fine work as you helped a 50+ relative secure the job she had dreamt of. You were very specific in your guidance, she took your advice, and it worked. That was a couple of years ago, and she still loves going to work each day.
On her behalf, let me say how grateful I know her to be.
